1st Annual AFI Awards
(Televised January 5, 2002)

AFI Award

The nominations only include films and television series released during the Eligibility Year of January 1, 2001 through December 31, 2001. To be eligible, a film must be available for a screening by the membership and have run for at least five consecutive days in Los Angeles or New York City and be over 60 minutes in length. For a television program to be eligible, it must have aired on broadcast or cable television during prime time (8:00 pm-11:00 pm Monday through Saturday; 7:00 pm-11:00 pm Sunday).
