Blackstar premiered on CBS on September 12, 1981. Astronaut John Blackstar is an intergalactic soldier of fortune who goes through a black hole into an alternate dimension. On the planet Sagar he finds The Overlord, who is taking over the planet, and helps the Trobbits, Mara the Sorceress, Storm the Amazon, Klone the Shapeshifter, and Warlock the dragon in their fight against him. Blackstar obtains the Star Sword, a powerful weapon. The Overlord has the Power Sword, and if the two swords are combined they become the Power Star, the most powerful weapon imaginable.
