The Beastmaster is based loosely upon the Beatsmaster films. Dar is the last male of the legendary Sula tribe and he can to talk to animals. He is searching for his long-lost love, and along the way he has to battle evil tribesmen and mythical monsters, with help from the animals. BeastMaster is an Australia/Canada co-production. The series is distributed internationally by Alliance Atlantis excluding Europe, Africa and the Middle East, where it is sub-distributed by Endemol International Distribution. Tribune Entertainment Company distributes BeastMaster in the U.S.
