Captain N: The Game Master premiered on NBC on September 9, 1989. The show is about a boy named Kevin Keene, who was playing a video game instead of doing his homework and gets sucked into his television and becomes Captain N. He has many adventures with Simon Belmont, Mega Man, and Kid Icarus, otherwise known as the N-Team, trying to save Videoland from Mother Brain and keep Princess Lana in power. It was a half-hour series produced by DIC, in association with Nintendo of America. The series ran for three seasons under the names Captain N: The Game Master (Season 1), Captain N & The Adventures Of Super Mario Bros. 3 (Season 2), and Captain N And The New Super Mario World (Season 3).
