Dead Last premiered on WB on August 14, 2001. Vaughn, Jane and Scott are a struggling rock band on the verge of being discovered when they make a discovery of their own - a cursed amulet that gives them the dubious talent of seeing spirits. Suddenly, their popularity skyrockets - if only with the dead. They find themselves anointed with the often amusing task of helping the dearly departed cope with their peculiar dilemmas so the dead can move on to the next world. The amulet puts the band's fragile relationships to the test when they find they can't get rid of it. The ensuing parade of apparitions demanding mortal assistance puts a strain on both their patience and sanity. Slowly, the trio realizes that this is their new lot in life - and that "moving on" isn't all it's cracked up to be.
