Marshall Teller and Simon Holmes live in Eerie, Indiana - a town that lives up to its strange name. They both have summer jobs working at cleaning the basement and attic at the Stewart's house. The boys think their employers are really strange. They dress funny, listen to old music, and eat strange foods. The Stewarts seem to be stuck in a 1970s time warp. Mrs. Stewart used to be a Foreverware representative in the 70s and sold storage containers that can keep anything fresh, forever. But what have the Stewarts been keeping so fresh for so long? And why do they have such large containers? And why is Mrs. Stewart looking at Simon like she would like to put him into one of her containers? Bureau Of Lost
Eerie, Indiana has always been something of a strange town, and this time it is no different. Over at the town's Bureau of Lost, where everything that is missing is stored, things are gone. Al and Lodgepol, who run the Bureau of Lost, realize the things are missing. Only it's not things that are gone. It's missing people that are gone from the Bureau of Missing. The power in the town went out and all the missing people were let out of their cryogenic storage chambers. People like Jesse James, DB Cooper, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and Amelia Earhart are walking the streets of Eerie, Indiana. It's up to Marshall and Simon have to get them back after they get asked to help. The "missing" people don't want to go back and work together to plot their scheme. Eerie Triangle
Marshall and Simon realize that although there is a statue of Zebediah Eerie in front of the Eerie, Indiana town hall, there is no mention of him in any history books or classrooms. In fact, it's almost as if he never even existed. The boys decide to find out why there is no reference to him anywhere and find something equally weird. They find pictures that are a hundred years old - with people who still live in Eerie, Indiana in them. The people in the picture don't look or act like they are over 100 years old and Marshall and Simon know something weird is going on. After doing more research they realize that Eerie, Indiana only came to be in the 1950s after a series of UFO sightings in the area. This makes them wonder, could the entire population of Eerie really be aliens from somewhere else? Could that somewhere else be another planet? The boys find strange and interesting things as they continue to dig deeper and learn a lot about the past of Eerie, Indiana. Are the residents of the town from another planet?
