Flint The Time Detective premiered on the Fox Family Channel on March 5, 2000, then moved to the Fox Saturday lineup after 8 episodes. The series has alternated between the 2 stations since then. The series is about Flint Hammerhead, a prehistoric boy who has to fight the evil forces that threaten to tear apart the Land of Time. In the 25th century time travel is so widespread that the Bureau of Time and Space has been formed to protect the past and the future from the spree of time crimes. The Time Police detectives are lead by scientist Dr. Bernard Goodman, his twin neice and nephew Sara and Tony, and Flint Hammerhead. When Sara and Tony find a fossil version of Flint and his father during a school archeological dig, Dr. Goodman is able to de-fossilize the two. However, Flint's father, Rocky Hammerhead, only makes it back part way and is now existing as a powerful granite axe. Flint is made a member of the Time Police and has to fight Petra Fina, he person who turned him and his father into fossils.
