Episode 1 The competition begins with the introduction of 10 professional dancers teamed with a parent. The teams consist of five sons dancing with their mothers and five daughters dancing with their fathers.
Episode 2 One of the two female teams on the chopping block from week one is sent to safety while the other is eliminated. This week features five male dancers competing with their mothers. Two teams will be put on the chopping block for elimination.
Episode 3 One of the two male teams on the chopping block from week two is sent to safety while the other is eliminated. Remaining eight teams all compete tonight. Two teams will be put on the chopping block for elimination at the end of the show.
Episode 4 One of the two teams on the chopping block from week three is sent to safety while the other is eliminated. Remaining seven teams all compete tonight. Two teams will be put on the chopping block for elimination at the end of the show.
Episode 5 One pair gets the boot and the six remaining teams perform.
Episode 6 One pair are eliminated and the five remaining teams perform.
Episode 7 The final four duos perform after another pair are axed.
Episode 8 The season ends with the three remaining pairs battling it out on the dance floor before the winners are announced.
