Show Description
The Pink Panther Show premiered on NBC in 1969. In the first season, the show played reruns of DePatie-Freleng's theatrical cartoon shorts originally titled Pink Panther And The Inspector. In the 1970-1971 season, they got rid of The Inspector, replaced it with another of DePatie-Freleng's theatrical cartoon titled The Ant And The Aardvark to air with The Pink Panther shorts, and retitled the show Pink Panther Meets The Ant And The Aardvark (when shown later in syndication the show was titled The New Pink Panther Show). Beginning in the 1976-1977 season the series was expanded to 90 minutes, The Inspector was brought back to join The Ant And The Aardvark, and many of DePatie-Freleng's theatrical cartoons were played along with new material made specifically for the television series in a show titled The Pink Panther Laugh And A Half-Hour And A Half. The shows added to the new series were Texas Toads/Tijuana Toads, Hoot Kloot, Roland And Rattfink, The Dogfather, Crazylegs Crane, and The Blue Racer.
