Police Squad premiered on ABC on March 4, 1982. This series is a very dry, humorous look at "real" Police Squad stories. Leslie Nielsen is excellent as the quipping Frank Drebin and the rest of the cast compliment him and the silly stories in each show. The show eventually spawned three films, all with the same humor.
